7 reasons to post once a day or less:
1. You are not a content-distribution machine. You are a human who needs time to develop your ideas.
2. The more carefully you post, the more unique your site becomes. You’re not just like everyone else but it takes a little time and effort to figure out your own thoughts and your own style. Posting carefully helps you learn to focus.
3. A lower number of posts makes it less time consuming to be your friend. The less posts there are on your site, the easier it is to search and find content to reblog or respond to.
4. Some people will only read your site if it’s light on their dashboard. Posting a ton might get you more followers of a sort but it will be a barrier between you and more thoughtful people.
5. If you go slow you’re less likely to burn out and quit.
6. There are too few quality sites that are both consistent and slow-paced. If you slow down you might inspire others to post less too, and the whole community might become less frantic and sloppy.
7. Time spent away from the internet can improve your posting (and your life).
